Spring is in the air which means baseball season is finally back! This weekend the Rockies take on their division rival, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and LoDo will be buzzing with excitement for the opening home series this weekend. Check out our picks for some of the best spots to take in Opening Day and weekend!
The Viewhouse in LoDo is a staple during baseball season and especially during Opening Day. Located just one block from Coors Field, the Viewhouse will be open at 8 a.m. with DJ’s playing all day long to get you fired up to watch the Rockies beat the Dodgers. There will be plenty of food, $4 Coors Light, ticket giveaways, and of course bags/cornhole.
Blake Street Tavern
Blake Street Tavern is another essential location to celebrate the start of baseball season, right down the street from Coors Field. Drink specials and the Opening Day celebrations start at 9 a.m. and will continue all weekend long. Don’t have tickets for the game? You can take in the incredible Coors Field atmosphere and kick back in the Tavern’s beer garden while watching the games instead!
Howl at the Moon
If you’re looking to get your dancing shoes on before the games, head to Howl at the Moon right next door to the stadium. The party starts at 11 a.m. and will have great music as always along with drink specials like $3 Coors Light drafts, $5 shots of Jameson, and 86-ounce Home Run Buckets! We don’t know about you but a Home Run Bucket sounds like a must on Opening Day.
You can’t go wrong for an exciting baseball weekend around LoDo this spring and these are just a few of our favorites! Remember, the start of spring not only means baseball is in full swing, but so is the real estate market! Where will you celebrate the Rockies opening series this weekend?
